EAU Research Foundation: 

Recognising that innovative research and technology are cornerstones of progress, the EAU has set up a Foundation for Urological Research. This Research Foundation sustains key research work and serves as a dynamic link between the pharmaceutical and medical device industries on one hand and scientific and medical research communities on the other.

 

 

EAU-Research Foundation's Mission Statement:

 

The EAU-Research Foundation aims to: 

 

" stimulate, facilitate, organise and popularise urological research in Europe, both in clinical and basic science, and support specific training in these fields through the following activities ": 

• Network formation by establishing a scientific communication infrastucture between the EAU Central Research Office and clinical study centres and satellites thereof and basic science laboratories
• Initiating and organising multi-centric, multi-national cooperations for conducting clinical studies and basic science projects
• Communicating these activities to European urologists and to public and private sources of funding
• Initiating, funding and conducting investigator-initiated clinical trials
• Identifying and offering opportunities for research scholarships.
