1) Effectiveness of Zometa (R) treatment for the prevention of bone metastases in high risk prostate cancer patients.  1) A prospective, randomised study into the effect on survival of hormonal treatment versus hormonal treatment plus local external radiotherapy in patients with primary metastatic (bone) prostate cancer. HORRAD.

 2) An open-label, prospective, comparative trial to assess PSA progression on bicalutamide monotherapy versus bicalutamide + dutasteride therapy in patients with advanced and/or metastatic carcinoma of the prostate. Protocol Number: Urology 2006-01.

3)  Comparative study of intracutaneous and intravesical immunotherapy with Immucothel (R) versus intravesical chemotherapy with Mitomycin C in patients with superficial bladder carcinoma. A prospective randomized trial. Protocol Number: CT 2002.03.

This is an investigator initiated study aiming at recruiting a total of 552 evaluable patients. Currently, March 2007, almost 500 patients have been randomized in 20 Urological Institutions thoughout the Netherlands.

4)  Comparative study of intravesical chemotherapy with Epirubicin in three treatment schedules in patients with superficial bladder carcinoma. A prospective randomised trial. Protocol Number: IT97.01.

This is an investigators initiated study in which 1000 patients were randomised between April 1998 and April 2004. Currently this study is being reported at national and international congresses. Peer reviewed publication is foreseen this year, 2007.
